At long last I finished the Pinecaster today! :)

Pine is the freak'n AWSOME for tone! Clear, bright, smooth, and the perfect bottom end. Wow. The Zhang pups in there are great, very smooth and the twang is perfect!

Acoustically it sounds great unplugged, very warm and full. I'm glad that this is finally done. I'm gonna chill out on the projects for a while, but this one turned out great.

Beautiful! Congratulations! You may want to find your own logo and inscribe it on the headstock too.;)

Yeah I'm going to put a waterslide of "Pinecaster" when I get around to it, I'm just glad it's done.

Also, I always liked that kind of contrast of the side of the body to the top and back. It looks very cool.

thats amazing...got any clips yet? I'm guessing paul bunyan set, callaham hardware? Any battle scars yet?

Wow . . . I didn't think you could make a guitar out of Pine. Very cool. Nice job.

No battle scars yet and yes it is a Paul Bunyan set. Cream judging from what I'm hearing I think P-90's would be fantastic in a pine body, your tele project should sound vry nice!

I hope to get some clips soon. I'll post'em when I can.

^ Yeah pine is a soft wood, but it's such a great tone wood. And a few dent aren't a bad thing.....it just give some cool character.

yeah, I think you just inspired me when I finally decide to build my tele.

so, should I go with pine or bubinga/mahogany? lol

I wish I still had my planner and jointer :smack:. I can get my cabinet builder buddy to help possibly????

Hmmm.....since it is easy to beat up, one could always veneer the back and front of it.


I now have a planer and jointer again! :dance:
