The Relentless Fury Thread

Any of you tried it in flatter radius fretboard guitars?
If so are there any volume drops or uneven EQ between the strings?
CMIIW but IIRC YJM Fury were designed for vintage radius (7-9") guitars right? I'm planning to try it on compound radius (12-16") guitar.

Re: The Relentless Fury Thread

I don't think it would be an issue. I've had plenty of staggered pups on a flat radius before without any noticeable volume inconsistencies.

Re: The Relentless Fury Thread

Outa curiosity, has anyone compared Fury to the Dmarz hd-3's, or whatever it was he used in Alcatrazz? Thats the wonderful Yngwie tone im familiar with, and unless there was some endorsement scam goin on, i believe the Dmarz contributed to that singing sustain he had on every gtr. One comparison i read rated the yjm signatures unfavorably by comparison- but i forget if he has done other sign. pups.
Also, i believe thats what Evan Skopp and Yngwie might be discussing in the Youtube interview. Yngwie maintains he was very particular. Which is good, but then he says his criteria was trying them through monitors in the control room of his home studio while the cabs are all downstairs. If i understood that correctly, it took me by surprise- what does that say about feel, if he is not playin in front of his stack?
That being said, i know jack about furys, so enjoy. And if theyre great, ill get me some.

Re: The Relentless Fury Thread

If I remember right, his signature model was essentially what is now the HS-4, which i think he used in the bridge...and he used HS-3s as well, in the neck and middle.

That's great!
Any idea what bridge humbucker might match with Fury neck output-wise?
I'm thinking Custom might overpower Fury,so Demon and low-med output pickup maybe?

not essentially ... it is the HS-4, now renamed :)
i also believe it was a FS-1 in Alcatrazz, which was
a true singlecoil and not hum-cancelling at all :)
