Hello all,
The s/n on the fretboard is off by 1 number compaired to the s/n written on the card that came with the axe, its the last number. is this normal? I cant seem to get any info on my axe.
Thanks.
the s/n on the card is u24273, the s/n on the axe is u24270.

Got of the phone with Jackson. The s/n stamped on the guitar comes back to a silverburst Scott Ian T-1000 Soloist, alittle differant than my black SL2H.

Send it back for a replacement because one number is off? Why? Is it just me, or is that crazy?

u might be. If I were to sell it in 5 10 years and the s/n on the guitar comes up to a differant guitar. I think its called common sence

Probably just a Typo. Call Fender(?) and have them send you the correct card.

I was curious about this so I asked on the Jackson forum - if those guys don't know, NO ONE does.
And it seems no one over there really knows hahaha.

I got this reply though, which might be helpful:

"He doesn't say if the card is correct. Personally, I'd have Jackson send documentation to verify the guitar was to be stamped with X # and keep it but ya know they don't want two guitars out there possibly floating about with identical serials."
