The SD Custom Shop Offerings for Strats

There are some Custom Shop pickups listed on the SD main page. But, there aren't many details.

There are three listed listed under the strat listing...

Replacements for Strat Guitars
SD for Strat 7.5k-Neck
SD for Strat 7.5k-Middle
SD for Strat 9.5k-Bridge

I assume that they have A5 magnets.

Then under the Custom Shop listing for Tele's there's one that appears to be a strat pickup.

Strat-Tele (sound of Tele) for Strat “New”

I wonder how these pickups differ from the Antiquity line of single coil pickups?

Does anyone have experience with these Custom Shop models?

Wow...these custom shop strat pickups are incredibly popular, eh? I'll bet they are a great great secret.

I asked a question about that once also. Nobody seemed to know the answer :laugh2: The best I could get was that the CS pickup had more *Mojo*.:biglaugh: I wonder if, unlike the Twangbanger, it is a5 and more in the Tele range than the Twangbanger is.

Let's face it, even though many of us might be very knowledgable about Duncans, we really know little about the Custom Shop. I think Stevo is one of the few that has decent experience with it.

Rio Grande have 2 pup models at 7+ k...
The Vintage Tallboy (7.2k) and the Halfbreed (7.8k).

I wonder how the 7.5k custom shop pup compares to them...
