The Trooper II

I took your comments into consideration and recorded some new Trooper solo tracks. As suggested I not only switch between neck and bridge in the middle but also use both split at the end harmony part.

This time I used a Marshall JCM800 and Maxon od820 to boost. Pickups were 59 neck and JB bridge. SM57 mic.

I played this solo a little bit like a shred solo just to not sound like another note for note cover. I didnt change it that much but I hope you still can respect my rendition of it.

The 2nd track is the same thing basically except I use only the 59 neck. I do not like the sound of the 59 neck. I usually cut through nicely with my JCM800 but the 59 does something that I do not like. Maybe I need to get used to it. Let me know what you think.

Thanks for listening again!

Re: The Trooper II

Did you use the neck for the first part, then switch to the bridge? I'd have done it the other way around.
There's some really nice playing there, it works really well!

For the first part of the solo (Adrian's) I'd do less widdling, but you so say it's not meant to be a note for note cover so in that context, it's great!
