Well I record two stereo tracks at once, one of the stereo tracks I leave alone.
The other I process with a fully wet reverb plugin, pan it to the right and and I also reverse the phase on the wet track, essentially I do as I used to, when I had a rack, parallel stuff with one dry and one totally wet, I also dial in some volume, sometimes I turn it alittle down.
That way I keep the dry in front and present, and one track with effects only...I do tend to use my Echotone delay on my main sound, as I like how that sounds, so that is the only timebased effect I use on both tracks.
Before I used to mix reverb in...but never liked how it robbed away the precense of the sound, so I just thought that I should record two identical tracks, not just copy the normal recording, but just record two tracks.
Parallel is the only good way with that kind of stuff....
