Hi everyone, New here. Having a problem with this diagram.
I am using a JB 4c in the bridge position, with a 59 4c at the neck. I know.. original right ??LOL
Any way... I am using Seymour Duncan's diagram for "2 humbuckers, 1 volume, 1 tone, push/pull coil split on each. 3 way blade switch.
This diagram
The issue I am having is the wrong coil is active in single coil mode. I am getting the north coil on the bridge. And the south coil on the neck. I want the opposite.
Am i doing something wrong ??

I'm never sure about the terms north and south. That diagram should give you bridge and neck stud coils. Are you getting that?

I'm don't understand what your arrows mean.
But the two inner coils with the solid pole pieces are what are active in single coil mode for me currently, using the Duncan diagram. I want the outer coils with the screw poles to be the single coils.

Ok. Take the wire that's at the red arrow. Disconnect it from ground, and connect it to the terminal on the 5-way switch where the green arrow is pointing. Take the wire from the violet arrow, disconnect it from ground, and connect it to the terminal on the 5-way where the cyan arrow is pointing.

Or, if this easier, leave everything just as it is, and reverse the black and green wires on both pups. That is, black's to ground and greens to the 5-way. Leave both "bare" wires going to ground.

And just to be more clear . . . you short red/white to ground for the stud coil, and red/white to "hot", for the screw coil.

Thank you. Got the coils I wanted working how I want them to be. Then discovered I had a failed 3 wat switch. Wouldn't play both pickups in the center position. Put in a new switch and all is golden.
Thanks Again
