Thin Sounding Hot Rail in Strat

I have a Strat with a Hot Rail in Bridge and stock single in mid and a stock single in neck. Ive noticed lately that my hot rail in bridge position is sounding very midrangie and thin. I installed this pickup about a year ago with very little little knowledge of guitar tech. After doing some research I read about Duncans having different polarity than fender stock. OR that i needed to wire them in series or somethin. With anybody with some insight on this topic give me a hand.

red and white go together, black to switch, green and bare to ground. if you get a thin sound in the notch position, flip the black and green. Welcome to the fourm.

Re: Thin Sounding Hot Rail in Strat

A hotrails can be called many things, but unless it's broken or there's a problem with the wiring, thin should not be one of them. If your hotrails sounds thin when you select it alone, you have a problem, like bean said, be sure the red and white are together etc.
