Thinking about buying a wolfgang

Any recs in the sub-$1k department? This is my first guitar bought in about 2 years. After trimming down my collection to just 5 guitars, I think it's about time to have a 6th.

That's one body style that I just can't jive with.
What do you like about it?

The small size of the guitar mostly, and the neck profile. It's funny though, I'm 6'2, 200lbs with massive hands, so it sure looks goofy on me.

Right now I'm eyeing the EVH standard, but some of thr EBMMs look nice too. A bit more than I want to spend though on some of them

The Wolfgang is one of the best guitars I've ever played, period. From the Standard to the USA line, they are incredible instruments. If I was looking to get one today, I would get the Special simply for the look with the binding. I'm 6'3", 210lbs so yeah, I get how these look on us taller guys but man, they play so nice.

i like the body shape, dont love the neck though. lots of people do and they sound great! i play a washburn wms which kinda looks small on me, but who cares. rock it!

I love the feel of the Wolfgangs and have had several, the Special cures one issue I had with the USAs, the Special has jumbo frets, I don't dig the vintage frets on the US models. I also like to have the Floyd floating, in the end I didn't want to make those mods on an expensive guitar so I sold them but I have been wanting a Mexican Special, especially the latest quilt top, baked neck versions...or the purple/ebony board..
