Re: Thinking about getting a Gibson Historic ES 335

those are cool guitars, but....

my freind ordered one with a 60's neck, a lefty model, and the neck was so thin and weak it would bend just during natural playing, and it WOULD NOT stay in tune.... it mighta been a fluke, i hope so.....

Gearjoneser asked:

"So, we're waiting Lew. Did you get it, or does some other guy get to enjoy the benefits of that picture you've been staring at? LOL"

Curly pointed out to me that he wasn't certain the guitar was actually a Historic. I talked to the seller and he didn't have any documentation that it was a Historic...he wouldn't say it was but he wouldn't say it wasn't either. Nice guy tho! I wanted one exactly like my buddy's...but it appears that this one is not a Historic after all. I guess the Historics get an orange label and the others get a white label inside the F holes. With regrets, I passed on it.

If one of you wants to push the button, contact the seller and grab it...he'll take $1800 for it and include the Seth Lovers that are in it now as well as the original 57 Classics. I'm going to hold out for a real Historic 335.
