My rigs are:
Marshall Silver Jubliee 2550 w/4x12
VOX AC15 Heritage 1x12 half-stack
Ampeg GVT15 1x12 half-stack

I want to be able to use the LPC with the AC15. Seems the VOX prefers single coils and P90's. The pickups that are in it now, are 498T/490R. They sound good with the Marshall and Ampeg, not so good with the VOX. I don't want to be restricted to using the LPC with specific amplifiers.

the cs pg is hotter and thicker than the normal pg, in this case i think the normal pg might be a better fit with the vox. either would be better than the 498t

Thanks! I'm also interested in the Dimarzio PAF Master w/Alnico 4 magnets. I owned a set of BK Mule's w/A4 mags, but they seemed sort-of bland to me. Not enough character.

So, not considering the SNS set?

Saturday Night Specials.
They're SD's take on an A4 humbucker.

I had a set of BK Mule's in the LPC, but didn't care for them. I tried A4 magnets in a set of Gibson pickups, but again, I wasn't that impressed. Too balanced sounding... no character. Maybe in a different guitar. An old set of Tim Shaw pickups would be great, but I'm not paying what people are asking for them. I may just throw a set of Wolfetone T-Tops in, and be done with it.

Another Tonerider ACII clip... Sounds good to me.

I did enjoy the sound of the A4 in the neck position. I may go with an A2 bridge / A4 neck.
