Thinline Tele Single Coil Suggestions

I sort of asked this a week or two ago, but I'm trying to get more specific with what I want. I'm still working on my first Tele partscaster and have narrowed it down to a Warmoth Thinline Telecaster body with single coil pickups. I've never really played a combo exactly like this before, but I figure it will be pretty cool.

The idea in my head is starting from the classic Tele twang and sparkle and adding a little extra character to it. I've been browsing the audio samples and so far my favorites are the STL-1's Vintage, APTL-1 Alnico II Pro, and APTL-3JD Jerry, though the APTL-1 might be a little too bright.

I would like something with a little more umph like the STL-2 Hot, but it definitely seems to loose some Tele character (at least in the audio samples, real world???) - at least in the audio samples, and I definitely want some spank and sparkle in the end product.

I need some guidance for what will pair beautifully with the Thinline body I have in mind. Suggestions?

What woods have you chosen? Swamp ash, mahogany, maple, rosewood, others? Equally important, what bridge type?

IMO, a hollowed out Telecaster never has quite the same sound as a solid body example - even one made from the lightest tone wood.

My suggestion for "some Tele sparkle" plus "some spank" is a TV Jones Classic or Classic Plus Filter'Tron clone.

It's either going to be Ash or Alder, likely Ash because Warmoth makes more of those for their showcase. I'm not going for the exact Tele sounds, I'm counting on the hollow body adding something to the sound.

I have a Rio My Grande that is just a little too hot in one of my teles and a set of half breeds in one of my strats. I think the half breed for tele would give you exactly what you are looking for. Classic tone with a little more.

The STL-52 Five-Two for tele is a great pickup. I like Alnico II for the high strings with semi-hollow and hollow bodies but having the three big strings with Alnico V is just genius for a tele.

Pretty much the best of both worlds... the Custom Shop makes a stacked noiseless version of the 5-2 if you intend to play with high gain and or are wanting to create a totally unique tone that will set you apart from everybody else.
