i have a really bad problem in that sometimes when i read the posts, i get the voice of the avatar (in your case arnie) saying it. i guess im just insane but nooooo in his german accent cracks me up.

I think I agree about the black too actually...

The diamond plate would look cool if the 3-tone was darker, I changed the pic to the Strat Special (more accurate) but I was planning on the maple fretboard.

I don't like it. It kills the warmth of the burst, and I'm not a fan of the chrome trem, either.

IMHO, it clashes completely.

Actually, my favorite combinations are 3-tone sunburst, white, and black all with tortoise shell. There's a classiness that just fits the tone perfectly.

I have no idea why, but I can see that pickguard on a 3-tone sunburst Tele better than on a Strat. Maybe it's just that a Tele seems more industrial somehow in its design.

For a that sunburst strat, I'd just go with a parchment pickguard and 3 single coils. Oh, and ditch that yoo-gly bridge (unless you really like the way it sounds & works, of course).

Just my opinions and not even worth what you paid for 'em

It's kind of got that cool, out of the ordinary, clash of the beauties look to it. But, I'm not so sure if it's a good idea.

The only way it would look good is if the strat was black, had a bridge humbucker, and came with a rosewood fretboard. Any other color, and it would look dorky! Kind of like Buddy Holly with a tattoo or piercing!
