This block should fit right?

I got a solid steel Fender Vintage Block brand new in a bag never been used and I'd like to put it on my Hendrix Strat bridge. As far as I know the Hendrix Strat bridge is just a normal Fender vintage spaced bridge, so the the block should fit correct?

Well I tried it and it appears to almost fit perfectly. But I can clearly see that the hold in the bridge plate for the whammy bar does not really line up that well with the hole in the steel block. I'm beginning to think that the steel blocks might not fit all bridge plates.

I'm kinda thinking of ordering a Callaham block (I've used them before they're great stuff) or perhaps a whole Callaham bridge assembly.

the callaham stuff is top notch! not cheap, but consistently the best stuff ive used

Actually now I think I'd like to order the entire bridge - block assembly from Callaham. I believe what I would need to get is called the Vintage S Assembly. Have any of you replaced the entire Fender bridge - block assembly and replaced it with the Callaham?

yes. older mia stat and it was a direct fit. also have a mexi block replacement, hardtail strat, and tele bridge from them. great stuff

I'd check that trem arm hole. The one on my MIM bridge looks like it doesn't line up but it works fine because the arm goes in at an angle.
