im one to kinda try to keep my gear matching in a sense but heres the question. if i get a dual rectifier with a marshall 1960 cab is that going to sound weird or look weird. if there is any advice i could get that would help? thanx!

go for it, if thats what ya like. nothing wrong with mixing and matching to suit your needs. its a much better plan than just buying things cause the colors match

Since I always end up on this topic...

It won't look weird at all
It will look like you prefer a bright Marshall cab tone over the low end thump of a boogie cab. It's a actually a little more hip to mismatch, esp if you want the good old LP look.

A lot of people in the LP/Marshall world are down on Mesas. Honestly, what they fear most is the photo ops, not the sound. The Darkness singer uses Dual Recs, but the stage is ofetn Marshall cabs galore. If looks worry you, Marshall cabs will give you the classic look, as the Marshall logo will come thru loud and clear in photos... lol.
