I ran the amp direct in using a Behringer guitar link interface, the mic was just there to make it look more pro. But the amp did run a Hammond Organ driver for a short period of time before it blew at the gig. lol

Thats too funny. Is there a mic pre on your interface? If not it still sounds ab it buzzy, maybe throw a cab sim on there to smooth it out? Getting much better like Beer$ said though

No mic pre, I ran the amp from its line out into the Behringer via a crappy 1/4" lead I had kicking around.

Try a cab simulator on there, theres lots of good free ones. it will smooth it out and help big time. Here's one I've used: http://www.vst4free.com/free_vst.php?id=1750

You don't. Record as normal and insert the cab sim as an effect. What recording program you using?
