This is why the LP+JTM45 is a timeless classic combo....

I ran across this on the LP Forum and it just goes to show what an awsome amp the JTM45 is, especially with a vintage LP! They are big files, but well worth the download.

Gear:
Bett's '58 LP into a '65 JTM 45(Vol on 8) into a '68 Greenback loaded 4x12...no fx! Pure tone and some pretty good playing too!

That is pretty sweet tone.. the volume rolled back doesnt do alot for me though. Everything else sounded great!

And that is why I love that amp so much!

Always fun to hear classic rigs like that in action.

That was REALLY incredible tone. I wonder what pups he was running.

Give me a LP with any amp dude! If I had to play my LP on the first amp I bought from Sears and Roebuck when I was 13, I would be happy!

Hmmm.... Now where oh where can I find something that sounds like that...

Of course, I've been running a strat through the Edana more than anything else, but that is mainly due to the lack of good quality les paul type guitar. I think I'm gonna have to break down and get something like a les paul one of these days... Seems like there's no getting around it. Nothing else has that throaty midrange sound I want it seems. Nothing sounds like a les paul other than a les paul. Do those Edwards guitars sound the same?

Re: This is why the LP+JTM45 is a timeless classic combo....

Man if it wasn't for that stupid LP tail stop and bridge configuration! It's supposed to be a guitar! Not a friggin violin!

I wish Gibson and the people that make LP clones would do away with tradition for once and set up the bridge like the PRS people have done at least! You can bend the 1st string on a PRS to the position of the sixth string on the axe held by the cat standing next to you! :chairfall

When I get some cash, I think I'm gonna build a clone myself! That way it can put whatever friggin bridge I want on it!

What do you guys think of that idea? Oh yeah! By the way ... Marshall ROCKS!
