This Looks Suspiciously Like A Pearly Gates

Re: This Looks Suspiciously Like A Pearly Gates

Back in like 2001 I owned a a fender cyclone with a atomic bucker...If i remember right it was like 16k and was kinda like a wimpy JB. It got ripped out for a white 59 Trembucker which worked great with the texmex single in the neck.

I have a set of the Fender Atomic humbuckers I picked up used that I think came from a Toronado. Fender's specs on these is around 16k for the bridge, and a little under 8k for the neck; my set is consistent with those specs. Fender did have both the neck and bridge pups listed online with their specs but sometime last year they dropped the bridge.

That pickup Fender has listed now is just the neck, with the typical spacing of 2" between 1st and 6th string polepiece centers. The Atomic Humbucker bridge, the Tex Mex humbucker bridge, and the Pearly Gates humbucker bridge are all the wider spacing which I think is around 2 1/8".

The Atomic Humbucker bridge is A5, the neck A2.

The Pearly Gates Plus is A5 and rated around 8.5k. Not sure what mag the Tex Mex uses, I have one and I think it measures something more than 8k but not as high as that Pearly Gates spec.

If you're a bargain hunter, watch for used deals on any of these, I see them on ebay.
