Throwing myself out there to the wolves

I went back to my roots a bit with this one. Written and recorded as an instrumental intended for vocals - will be a song for my band providing the rest of the guys dig it.

Metal, with a little bit of relief in the middle. Influenced a bit I think by LOG, KSE, and the Pantera Behind the Music I watched on YouTube last week, though I hope not too much. Luckily our singer SINGS more than he screams, so any comparisons will end once he's in there.

Anway, tell me what you think. I played my modded Carvin CT4C through a good ol' PODxt and made the drums in FLStudio.

Working title: a sharp blow to the temple Hope you dig it - thanks for listening.

Thanks guys. Our singer likes to write his stuff to demos too, so I may wind up with a version in a couple of weeks with vocals on it.

Re: Throwing myself out there to the wolves

Hey, I really like it and I'm not even a major metal kind of guy. But I've been looking for a good program to create drum beats in and/or a good recording software. Right now I'm using Ableton Live to record, but the build in midi drum kind of sucks.

Re: Throwing myself out there to the wolves

Give FLStudio (Fruity Loops) a try. It's very easy to use and the amount of control for individually programming drum tracks and loops based on samples of single hits is great.
