Hi, I have a client who has a no-name Thunderbird Bass. It has chrome covered single coil pickups. She likes the sound, but her (heavymetal) band members are complaining about the hum. The original pickups are single coils, and are more or less a minihumbucker size.
I think a humcanceling strat type pup can be fitted inside the original covers.
Any suggestions which pickup I could use for this? She plays clean, and likes the single coil sound.
