MY A S S, Never buy one of these. It looked nicer than a fender at about 80 bucks it just lays around the apartment. Im not a touring musician or anything and the mother F'r fell apart. A pin for a hinge fell out and the entire lining on top of the case fell down and the strip of fabric that keeps the one side up fell off. What a POS. Just a warning to you all.

My Gibby-style (335 clone) Ibanez seems OK, but I know it's no flight case. I scored mine for $50. +1 for SKB w/r/t durability and road-worthiness.

Maybe yours is a fluke? Can you send it back for a new one? Maybe under warranty? I've got a whole bunch of TKL cases, mostly Gibson cases, and none of them have had any problems.

I've owned around 6 TKL *wood* cases in the past 10 years. The only problem I've had with any of them is the tolex loosening on them.

I have one SKB case- although it's been used hard, it still does it's job- I've had to patch the cracks with duck tape, the straps that hold the lid up have come off, you have to close it more carefully as the lips along the edge don't automatically match up anymore. Again, it's been well used for the past 9 years.

Its pretty Old, I was just venting. I never use it is the only problem. 5 dollars for some 3m Double side tape and it will be good as new. What do you think about the fender molded cases. The ones that the MIAs come with

The Fender molded plastic case?

What a piece of crap! Mine has been warped since I got it new. The latches suck and the lid is mis-aligned. the plastic is flimsy and I don't see how it can offer much protection...

I use G&G or SKB for normal use (Coffins are supposedly great as well) such as local gigs, rehearsals, sit ins. But I won´t settle for less than an Anvil for anything above that ;)

My Gibsons have never had problems with their TKL cases, though....
