Tom Petty and The Heartbreakers Breakdown on the '60 Melody Maker

Watched a documentary on Mike Campbell's and Tom Petty's guitars last night, and this song was on in the background during every scene change. One of those, "Damn! Why have I never learned to play that one before?!" songs.

So here's my sloppy attempt, complete with a few of those inevitable "Jazz" notes that always seem to creep up.

I thought it sounded great! [emoji1303]

You’re right about that song too… I never really thought of it much before but now you have me trying to figure out how to make it work for a three-piece!

One of my favorites!
At a good friends wedding, he got the band to keep repeating to telegraph his desire to move on to next steps (by repeating Breakdown)- His wife was not impressed;)

Could be done. There’s the underlying guitar parts that complete the song, but in a three piece it could still sound cool.
