TOM Saddles - Graphtec or Gotoh?

I need new saddles for my LP studio 50's tribute. My first choice is a set of Graphtec saddles, but was worried that they're not "radiused"?

The 50's tribute is supposed to have a 12" radius. I cannot find any documentation on graphtec if it's radiused, except that a certain model is supposed to work on post 2000 Nasvhille bridges.

My other option is to buy a Gotoh Nashville TOM. Apparently, I can't find any documentation if it's radiused as well.

Help!

P.S. What are your opinions on brass saddles? Where's a good place to buy just the saddles?

Re: TOM Saddles - Graphtec or Gotoh?

I replace all TOM I get with Babicz FCH bridges (and the one on my Tele too) Better materials , more adjustable and once you are done lock it in place and forget about it forever. You can set the radius however you like , I like to flatten mine a little but my Luthier did the 12" on my 335 and it is pretty damn spiffy too, just a little different kind of feel. I am a big fan of the Graphtech stuff but have never used a saddle they make . Make some phone calls send some emails to the companies you should be able to get an answer pretty easily from them.

Re: TOM Saddles - Graphtec or Gotoh?

i think u are little confused. what graphtec offers are saddles and not the entire bridge. ur stock bridge is already radiused, meaning that once u replace the stock saddles in the bridge with graphtec saddles it will retain the same curvature/radius as earlier. you will have to pick the relevant saddle set for ur bridge from the ones offered: here. i have not used these string saver saddles, but i have used their TUSQ stuff (both nuts and saddles for acoustic guitars) which are top notch.

Re: TOM Saddles - Graphtec or Gotoh?

I have graph tech on almost all my guitars but it's my understanding that the bridge is radius NOT the saddles. I could be wrong but if you take a picture of the bridge with a ruler do proper string spacing can be determined you can send it to graph tech and they can tell you which saddles will work.

The bridge is radiused, not the saddles.

I can strongly recommend String Saver saddles from Graph Tech.
I've been using them on my SG for over the year and they really reduced string breaking.

Oh. Confused I am. Graphtec it is then. I'm a big fan of their nuts. Thanks!
