Tonal Differences between Transistor and IC based Big Muffs?

I recently bought one of these (http://www.skreddypedals.com/skreddy_pedals_zero.htm) to add to my arsenal, but I've got my eye on a botique IC Big Muff clone as well. I'm wondering if anybody has tried an IC Big Muff (made for a short time in '83, I believe) and can compare them.

IC Big Muff ? I doubt they're valuable, not much talk about 'em.. The best Muff is supposed to be the 3 buttons triangle-layout russian box....

I'm not really concerned with value, I'm just looking for a new twist on the Big Muff.
