Tone Chart EQ

Re: Tone Chart EQ

Well, everyone's ears are different and the guitar you put the pick-up in's a major factor too. With that said, I always use the chart as a "general" comparison aid... nothing's better than your own experience and with the 21-day return policy, it,s even better for the folks in the states (even though it doesn't really apply to you and me).

Re: Tone Chart EQ

probably the pups description should explain better to what the pup sounds like. I know it has some "tone" explanations but to me there should be more information.
Like what a "x" pup might sound like in a LP or in a Strat.
It might just be me and the fact I don't have that 21 day policy :banghead:

Re: Tone Chart EQ

when you think about it, most of seymour's tone chart for paf(just for comparison) say that they are a bit scooped, and dimarzio's pafs mostly have a mid hump.

Re: Tone Chart EQ

and how did they came up with those values in the first place?

Why not a 4way EQ?
Bass / Lo-mids / hi-mids / Treble?
