Tone Pot

I wired my pickups up like this:

but now my tone pot doesnt work, it doesnt affect the tone at all. i tried putting another tone pot in the same way, but that didnt work either...is there something wrong with the wiring diagrams on the SD site?

Check your wiring again to the pot terminals,if it is "exactly" like the diagram,it should work? Maybe you overheated the caps also?

I have found that often when a tone pot doesn't work the guy who did the wiring forgot to ground the tone pot...either forgot to connect a ground wire to the case of the pot or forgot to bend over one terminal and solder it to the case of the pot.

Maybe one of the naked legs of the cap is touching the ground or a ground wire.
