tone pots with a thin shaft

My son went to replace a tone pot in his Epi Les Paul and the Gibson replacement pot was too fat, where can I get a 500k tone pot to fit?

Import type pots are usually smaller. AllParts or StewMac would have something.

I prefer the drill out the guitar to 3/8" to accomodate the better pot.

+1 Import pots are horrible IMO and it's worth it to just drill the hole out larger.
