Is there any way to hook up a portable CD player to this unit while using headphones or studio monitors?? Ex. Wanted to play backing tracks. Also is purchasing a USB to Midi cable worth the cost to be able to use the Sound Editor program??? And are they reliable. My laptop has XP if that helps. Thanking you in advance, Have a great weekend.

There's no aux input on the LE, but the new ST does have it. E-Mu's USB-MIDI cable would be the one I'd go with for MIDI hookup, if you're not using a sound card that has MIDI already. (The ST has a USB port.)

I've got an ST, and just ordered a used LE to use for a bit because the ST doesn't have a sound editing program yet. I find it much easier to do all my routing on the computer screen and then upload/download patches to the unit.
