Tons of Tone/Pickup Q's

I'm not sure whether to post this beast into this category or in the other one (Guitar Shop) because of how it fits both sorta... Anyway!

I'm in a rut here trying to figure out whether or not to wire my JB in the bridge position of my Strat to my middle single coil's tone pot (where they both share it!)... I've heard the JB sounds nicer when it has a 250K pot vs. a 500K one, but what's the difference if it's not wired to a tone pot at all (like it is now) versus those options?

For the next part, here's what I'm thinking about putting into my Strat:
Neck - SSL-5 Custom Staggered
Middle - SVR-1 Vintage Rails

OR

Neck - SSL-5 Custom Staggered
Middle - STK-2 Hot Stack

Say if I put in a push/pull volume pot into my Strat to where I can use my neck and bridge pickup together, and if I have a high-output neck single coil (like either the STK-2 Hot Stack or SSL-5 Custom Staggered) would I need a 500K tone pot for the neck? Of course the Hot Stack isn't techincally single coil, but it's still high-output.
Also (hang with me), would a Vintage Rails (being as it's going to be my clean pup most likely) work better with 250K to keep it warm?

This is a ton of questions, but I'm trying to figure out how to get a really awesome rock Strat out of this, while maintaining some ability to play clean since a Strat does this best :) To help you guys out, I don't think I'll change the volume pot to a 500K after looking around for the past hour or so, because they say for single coils that would be a little harsh, and JBs sound better with a 250K volume pot anyway.

Re: Tons of Tone/Pickup Q's

actually the hot stack isnt all that high output.

i would say start with 250k pots and see where you are at. if you need more high end from one or more of the pups then you can change values later

Re: Tons of Tone/Pickup Q's

You can get good rock tones with those check out my clip of ssl-5 neck and a Parallel axis 1 bridge in a strat RAWK guitar. The thread/link is in TIPS AND CLIPS.

I Can't say enough how great that patb-1 is for RAWK
