Okay so I have fallen in love with my DSL401 again simply because I have started to use the OD channel. Before I had always thought it was too thin and buzzy..
But with it set 0/5/10 (T/M/B) it sounds pretty good (gain 3, volume 6, master 5). Got rid of all that bee-in-a-jar trebly sound - and it DEFINITLEY has enough high end even with the treble at 0. Having the bass at 10 isn't much of a difference than at 5 but it makes it a bit better.
I'm a smooth distortion kind of guy - I do like it crunchy for chords but when I go for single notes it's gotta be like butter. So I often roll my tone knob off, too, depending on what sound I'm going for.
Anyone else experience something similar?
