I've been using the 59N/59b for a while and liked it but the bridge at times would be brighter and thinner than I like, to resolve this I put in a Custom 5 I have laying around but now realizing I dont care for high output pickups anymore.
I've read a lot of the reviews and threads on the PGb and was kind of scared off due to some saying it is way too bright, so after getting tired of the 59b I went to GC and picked up the Pearly Gates bridge.
Well the Pearly Gates bridge is way better than the 59b in my Les Paul it got rid of the brightness and stays fat all over the neck unlike the 59b, even when playing clean it is not overly bright I measured the dc resistance out of curiosity and it measured 8.8k open circuit. I'm glad i decided to install it because this may be my perfect pup in this guitar I will at some point buy the PGn.
Anyway I am a believer of the Pearly Gates, it definitely rocks!:fing2:
