Hey guys, I play a strat with nothing changed concerning the neck or bridge. I’m going from 11-52’s down to 11-49’s (just because I can’t find any 11-52’s in the guitar shops around without a wound third string.) I’m resting up my strat, which I never really properly adjusted for the 11-52’s, to play half step down, and on fenders website it says:
Neck Radius Relief
7.25" .012" (0.3 mm)
9.5" to 12" .010" (0.25 mm)
15" to 17" .008" (0.2 mm)
When the first fret is capo’d and u push on the last fret. (The measurements are done over the 8th fret). My guitar has a neck radius of 9.5” But these are for stock (probably 9’s), tuned to standard. Taking everything into account of: ½ step down, 11-49’s, and neck radius is the minimal for 0.10”. How much relief should I have for a perfect tuss rod setup?
