Trade Advice Needed:Should I do it?

As i'm sure some of you know, i've been trying to sell off this VMNT with a crack in the clearcoat.

Anyways, I got an email today from some girl willing to trade. Her offer is a MIM stratocaster with hardshell case + 100$. The color is a little weird. Here's what it looks like.

What do you think. And none of that "do what you want to" crap. In these cases i like to know what everyone else thinks. I know the crack in the finish brings the value of my guitar down, buy im not sure if it's this low.

You'd get a MIM Strat and C-note? Why are you still typing here when you could be going to get that Strat?!?? Put a white guard on there, and the color won't look as weird.

haha. its mim for one. and shes adding a hardshell case and 100$. whats is a c-note..lol

...the hundred bucks...Roman numerals...C=100...$100 bill = C-note.

Besides, that Dean was made in Korea, no? The MIMs are just as good.

A cheaply made, corners-cut, sweatshop-built import version of a guitar that was designed and built to be super awesome and totally perfect for one guy?

If it were any other color it would be a no-brainer...but it's like...purple. Hmm. Maybe you guys are right.

That Strat is worth $275, the case is worth $50, your guitar is worth.. $425 then?

Do you want a Strat?

It's an MIM, you'll want to replace the pickups.

Is her Strat the satin purple, or is it Midnight Wine?

Actually, the color is Midnight Wine and in satin. It's a deep maroon color, very cool when done correctly. My personal preference is using a dark rosewood board with aged guard and covers.

It really is a no brainer. Strat all the way, and with the extra C note, you could buy some decent pickups for it, or get that tele project finished up.

Go for the Strat bro, with a white Guard it will look great, pearloid also looks fantastic on that red....

My only question is, Do you have a Strat currently? If not, then absolutely go for it... If you do, then maybe wait for something that meets your fancy more....

With Strats I have to agree with what was previously said, Substance > Style for sure... I mean I am playing a Road Worn Strat, and I am not even big on relics, but the guitar plays and sounds so good, it doesn't matter to me what it looks like...
