As i'm sure some of you know, about a week ago i brought to the table a possible trade i was looking into. I was going to trade my Silver Dean VMNT for an ugly purple strat + 100$. Man am i glad i turned that deal down.

The guitar was shipped out today and i should have it friday.

Ladies and Gentlemen.....who am i kidding...Gentlemen, I give to you my new Fender Stratocaster. Graphite Nut, Super Distortion in the bridge brand new 2009 artic white. Complete with a hardshell case. How do you like the new headstock on these babies?

I can't wait until it's here!

Re: Trade Success! (Fender Content)

The 2009 MIM models have a different less crowded headstock then the previous years. I'm refering to the decal for all you knit pickers.

New One.

The new ones also dont have the "Made in Mexico" right on the front...its on the back.

Welcome to the exclusive 2009 MIM Strat club!

You even have black pickups and knobs like me!

I almost got a white one myself, but I could not resist the temptation of Lake Placid Blue.

Enjoy!

Re: Trade Success! (Fender Content)

Is that a production model or custom? Cause I always thought Fender used olympic white.

That's gotta sound insanely orgasmic in tone. I myself prefer H/H but that works as well.

Re: Trade Success! (Fender Content)

Thanks guys!

Actually he just told me it was white..i know the old fenders used arctic white but this might be cream..not sure.

If i ever do change the body, it'll be to a sonic blue color, but i like it the way it is for now. I'm one to always upgrade my guitars and change stuff on them.

Re: Trade Success! (Fender Content)

MIM uses Arctic White, while MIA and the RIs use Oly White, which is kind of the "classic" shade of white you see for the most part on Fenders.

Yes the new headstock looks kinda like a mid sixties transition one...sweet man! According to the guys at Fender, while the guitar itself hasn't seen much improvement last year in the specs department, they simply made it look "More expensive", and I think they really pulled it off...tint and that decal and of course LPB...looks sexy as hell.

Congrats on the score!

Edit: BTW, I've been really gasssing for a black mid sixties looking Strat. This might be just the ticket haha! Just need to move that Peavey amp to someone else's ownership.

Well i'll be sure to message you personally TC and let you know how it plays. ;)

I'm really happy, especially with the upgrades done on it. This might be my nicest playing guitar yet until i get this tele up and working.

Re: Trade Success! (Fender Content)

Kinda looks like the Adrian Smith Jackson that's recently come out. Super Distortion in those too.
Sweet!

Re: Trade Success! (Fender Content)

looks like a vintagey looking Adrian Smith. Plop some hot SCNs in there, and you'll have a cut-price jackson that screams just the same. Beautiful guitar.
