Which is better and more noiseless and hum free between this to type of adapters? For ex. standard boss psu 9v (transformer based) or something like 1spot or rocktron dc ontap (switchmode)?
All things being equal, a transformer based system is better for audio . . . but things are never equal. Either style can be built cheap or quality. I doubt that Rocktron makes a noisy PS for their pedals. Maybe.

I use 2 one spots to power my board. On other boards I've used one. My home board is larger and it was easier to use 2. Bottom line is since I switched to the one spots and eliminated all the wall warts and rewired everything with George L cables. The noise is gone....... nothing but the hum of the amps.
