Transporting a 4x12 Cabinet - Help!!

Hi guys,

Does anyone know if a 4x12 cabinet would fit into a lincoln towncar trunk or the back seat?

Here's the dimension (WxHxD): 30.3 x 32.3" x 15"

Thanks!

That doesn't matter. If you get some quality casters with your cab, then just tow it after your car.

:D

Always steal the car before you steal the cab. Better yet, steal a truck next time!

j/k

Well, I have a GEO Storm- probably one of the smallest cars out there- kinda like a go-cart that stayed in the dryer too long-
I get my 4x12, my 2x12 combo, 3 guitars, a bag full of cords, pedals, stands, and a small suitcase in there- however, there is no room for anything else!

Re: Transporting a 4x12 Cabinet - Help!!

Well, Marvar, if you can at least fit in a 4x12 cab in your GEO Storm, then a lincoln towncar would have enough space then.

Thanks

No idea, but I can say a GM/Opel/Vauxhall Zafira is great for transporting a 4x12. No lip on the tailgate - it slides in real easy. :naughty:

I drove a big limo sized Mercury Grand Marqui for years and my 5150 4x12s would not fit in the trunk, but one at a time they fit in the back seat.... if that helps...... I don't think my new Camry i'll be able to carry 4x12's without borrowing my dads van

Thanks for the replies!!!

The Grand Marquis is very very similar to Lincoln Towncar. Maybe the Towncar is slightly bigger?? Well, in any case, I'll just use the back seat if the trunk is not enough.

Here's a picture of my rig (yes, sandals are included :bigthumb:):
Also, thanks to all of you who gave me inputs on the VHT 2502 and 2:90!

Great rig... but!

What's the reason with such an expensive rack set-up, if you're sending the signal trough a Behringer cab?! :D

Well, my band hasn't got signed yet!

Nevertheless, I am really satisfied with this cabinet. It's the most neutral sounding in comparison with Marshall 1960 and Mesa Traditional Cab. I have not tried VHT and Bogner cabinets though; these cabs are probably even better than Mesa cabs. Well, I usually played through Bogner Shiva (1x12) if that counts.

The cab would probably fit in the trunk space, if you could get it through the opening. That's the biggest problem with a lot of cars, the opening being an awkward shape.

A 1960A cab just fits in the trunk of my Taurus, but it's a different shape than that of a Town Car trunk.

7620's didn't have binding.....

At least the first series didn't....don't know if they re-released them and have different specs.

His sig says 7321 ;). Also, since when does the 0 on the end designate hardtail? :p
