Trebly guitar Guitar: SH11 ?

I own an alder body / maple fretboard superstrat type guitar.

It's very trebly, more than my Ash telecaster.
I wanted Dimarzio Evo2 pickups, but the bridge is
too birght and colmpressed and ends up souding THIN,
especially when i want to play heavy riffs.
It's not icepicky or trebly but....

The Cleans sound totally dull.

So in short, i was very disappointed...

I believe my mistake was to choose ceramic magnets,
and well DiMarzios are cold as hell.

Now i want to buy Duncans because they souind warmer basically.
Usually i'm a big fan of the screaming demon but i need something fatter,
because when i play AC/Dc i sound like a ukulele which is not particularly what i expect from a humbucker..............

The guitar has 2 buckers and a 5 way (H-S-SS-S-H)
It's important because it can gove really awesome single coils sounds.
This guitars is meant to play Rock, Hard rock, Heavy metal, Shred and pop.

It looks like the Custom Custom works well in
bright guitars. For the neck, the Stag-Mag seems to be an interesting choice,
or maybe i should just buy an Alnico 2 pro ?

Dont buy some warm but, flabby ass A2 pickup if you play metal and shred at all.

Say this with me, PATB-1 bridge and PATB-1N for the neck.

Warm, fat, tight, and does have good clarity.

Oh, I tried the stag mag one time. I urge you to stay far away from it. There is a reason they are not that popular.

You should also try the ceramic SH5 with 250k pots. The best heavy/rock pickup in the mid to high output category.Has treble content yes,but with 250's it will sound fat yet retaining some of the character of the guitar.I don't know why but the JB for some reason isn't heavy or rock to my ears and full shred is shy on bass-low mids in such a guitar. That's assuming you want to keep the character of the instrument ofcourse. If you want to make it sound gibsonesque then PATB series.

In my opinion, I'd go with an A2P / CC combination. I had an Ibanez RX240 (soft maple body, maple neck, rosewood fretboard) and the CC sounded beautiful in it. It really tamed the brightness on it. The CC splits very nicely, too. I had two A2P single coils in it (neck and middle) and so this is why I recommend an A2P humbucker neck. Not the same, but should be pretty close to it.

Try a set of Seth Lovers. IMHO Seths are a dark sounding pickup and if treble is your problem these will usually cure it.
