trembucker?

hi,
i have a poplar bodied strat with rosewood fingerboard and vintage style tremolo....i now decided to put a Jeff Beck humbucker in the bridge after all, and now i just don't know if i should get the trembucker version or not. i mean there is no difference in the price, i just want the best fitting pickup in my guitar. thanks

Yes you should. The strings will align better with the pole pieces, if you've got
trembucker sized pickup. I don't know if one can really hear the difference,
but it looks better And you don't have to think about it afterwards.

I don't really notice any difference in sound between regular spaced or trem spaced in trem-equipped guitar. You could use either one with equally good results, it just boils down to the asthetics of the pole pieces lining up with the strings and how important that is to you.

Looks aside, I noticed drop out on my high E string when I had a regular spaced humbucker in the bridge. Will a regular-spaced humbucker work? yes, but a trembucker will usually be better, and should always be used for bridges w/tremolos.

I find it quite humorous, those who say there is no difference between a regular and trem spaced model, have also said "Get a trembucker just to be safe". :laugh2:

I also notice the difference too, especially if you play clean and bending the high e string up makes louder, when it has more contact with the polepiece.

yea just minimal differneces, nothing to make a big fuss over IMO, so trem or not, as long as i get them cheap!
