Tremolo picking is hard

It's practically impossible for me to learn this. I sound very rough and very unsmooth. The pick gets stuck on the string especially on the upstroke. I've had that problem for a long time. And this other forum I joined kept telling me over and over "upload a video of your picking hand, and we can diagnose the problem within two minutes."

Well all they did was tell me that when I use my wrist it looks too bouncy. In other words, I'm string-hopping. That's not good as it slows you down.

Then they told me that when they saw me use my elbow it looked like that had more potential for speed.

That's about all I got out of them.

I may as well try using my teeth. Hendrix style tremolo picking.

Its been like 4 days. Give it time. Put a month into it.

Yes time. I also discovered a new way (at least for me) to use my wrist. I call it The Shake. If you take your right hand and pretend there is something on your fingers like water or something that you want to get off you might make a shaking motion moving rapidly from left to right.

You can make this same motion with a pick in your right hand and you and pick three notes very fast. If I remember correctly, the teacher Steve Stine whom has many videos on YouTube talked about something very similar.

I'm going to see if I can develop it.
