Tremolos swap Edge III/Edge-Zero II (RGA42TFMZ / RGA72TQM) for Original Floyd Rose

Hi All,
i can get a pretty good deal on either:
A) RGA42TFMZ - With Edge Zero II tremolo w/ ZPS3Fe

I've never used Ibanez tremolos before but from what i can read these s*** especially the Edge .
Does anybody have swapped those tremolos for a high quality one like Original Floyd Rose or Edge-Pro? Any idea id something like this will fit ? Any installation roadblocks one may expect?
Here it says that an Edge-Pro and OFR will fit in a EDGE-III cavity:

I'm planning to change the pickups anyway so makes no sense for me to go for the top-end Ibanez's that have good tremolos. And what is more important i love the RGA body

I’m not sure it’s the same but I’ve had a lo pro edge in my custom guitar since 96(?) and it’s been flawless.

I have a EdgeIII on my RG4
I don't see any problems with it
But it is probably my least played guitar

Why don't you buy one with the trem you want on it
By the time you source the guitar and add in the floyd
You could've gotten a charvel

The Edge Zero II tremolo so far has been found to be decent quality, o I wouldn't stress on that. Edge III is a bit rubbish, but can be swapped out for an Edge Pro. You'll likely want to upgrade studs and anchors though.

Haven't tried the Edge III to Floyd swap...I used to know which Ibanez bridges swapped with what exactly, but it's been a while since I was heavy into the Ibanez bridges.

As LonePhantom said, you can definitely toss an "Edge Pro" in there. A little hard to find and a bit pricey, but quality and function is easily on par with the original "Edge" tremolos, in my opinion.

The Edge Zero II is pretty awesome. Nita Strauss digs 'em...
