Trimming Humbucker Covers

Hi all,

I bought some covers that have turned out to be far deeper than I'd hoped, and would like to trim them down, but haven't come up with any ideas on how to do so, other than to seek the help of nearby hardware stores. Failing that, I'm guessing that I'll just have to make do with the extra 3 or 4mm of casing around the pickups :?:

They were listed as "metal", so I've assumed they're copper underneath the chrome finish. Ideas?

I can't think of a way to fix it. I think your stuck with them being a bit too big.

I thought that would likely be the case, though why they make them so unnecessarily deep in the first place puzzles me!
