Triple Shot with HSH Strat

Hello,
I was wondering if it was possible to install the Triple Shot mountain rings in the bridge and neck positions on an HSH strat pick guard. Is it difficult to drill the extra holes in the pick guard? Also, does anyone know how well the Triple Shot works with a Hot Rodded Humbucker Set? (HSH configuration- stock mexican fender single coil in the middle position, JB Bridge, Jazz Neck).

Thanks

Maybe you can mount them just using the humbucker height screw, like the rings on the Dave Murray Stratocaster.

Can't help you on the pickup question. I've never used those on a Strat before.

Thanks for the info. Have you used either of those pickups before though?

Drilling the holes is simple, getting the screws to find purchase in the plastic is harder, but you also just drill through and screw the rings to the body underneath the guard. You´ll need to remember that the next time you remove the pickguard, though ;)

But more importantly you could run into clearance problems depending on your exact setup. When I look over at my strat, if I were to put a standard humbucker ring on top of the pickguard all but the d ang g strings would bottom out on the ring or at least buzz... While I could angle the neck back a bit more and raise the saddles higher, I really like the way it plays as is and wouldn´t want to pooch that... In my case, I´d essentially have to rout out the pickguard to recess the triple shots, and then I´d have too figure out how to provide clearance to use the switches because they´d then be buried. So you may want to measure, first. ;)

*Edit* just noticed, the switches wouldn´t be buried at all, they´re on the top... weren´t they originally on the side?
