Troubleshooting on Lexicon Alpha playback through CuBase Le4

Hi tone bros. I have been very excited to record since getting my Lexicon Alpha interface and a new SM48. However, even though I can hear my microphone and instrument through my speakers or through the headphone output of the Lexicon unit, and it makes waves when I am recording... I cannot, for the life of me, play anything back! :headache: I can't tell if this is a software or hardware issue. I can amplify my guitar and vocals through it all day. I can even record a masterpiece, BUT I CAN'T LISTEN TO IT!

On the CuBase program everything for the respective channel and track when I'm recording seems OK.

I have a mic plugged into the back's XLR in, an instrument in the front's instrument in, nothing else plugged into the unit's INs. The Left and Right RCA jacks for "Audio out" are both being sent via a cable that's RCA to mini phono (aka 8mm home audio), which goes into the computer's Line In.

Nothing is connecting the Lexicon to my computer speakers (monitors), though indirectly through USB connectivity, I can still hear whatever instrument or mic is plugged into the Lexicon.

I would greatly appreciate any help that anyone can offer. Maybe if I can figure it out, I'll post some free recordings out of my gratitude :biglaugh:

If I understand correctly. You probably have to set up the CuBase master output 1 & 2 to play through your computers soundcard instead of through the Lexicon. Don't touch the input settings if that's working. There should be some routing in CuBase for this.

Alls I had to do was go to audio system controls in the device manager, and switch from Direct X to "Alpha". Thanks for the help!

No problem glad you got it. Those are the two places to look, your softwares routing and your systems routing for audio in's and out's.
