I got a set of incredible pure handwounds from David. Duanbucker plus and Pagey 2. I put them in the 2 hum strat style guitar with 1 volume and 1 tone, both push/pull. I've attached the Duncan wiring schematic I used. I soldered the red/splat to the middle lug to where the Duncan red/white are soldered to in schematic and white hot from Zhang to where the Duncan hot black goes to in schematic. Grounds to back of the pots of course.
Full series everything is great but the problem is that when splitting/pulling up the pot, I am obviusly getting the weaker coil that is supposed to be unused. Sound greatly drops in output and sounds tiny. (Splat on 9.9k bridge is 6.2k and on 7.5k neck is 5.4k)
I'm not sure how to wire it. David's instructions say that Red/splat is supposed to go to one of the outer terminals on the push/pull. Maybe thats the problem? White/hot to one of the outer terminals and middle terminal to volume pot or selector switch. How would I combine Davids instructions with this Duncan schematic to get the splats to activate properly?
I've always gotten so much help on this awesome forum so thanks in advance.
