many prefer the sparkle drive by voodoo labs. From what i've heard, it's a refined TS808 circuit with better components and less of a mid hump, and true bypass. (though the FET bypass in the reissues are pretty solid to begin with)

I have a TS-808 and I love it. I named it Mr. Chirpy because it chirps when you turn it on and off when the batteries are dying.
