It would be easier to just change the tube(s) and see what you hear.....but as SlyFoxx says, we would need to see a schem to see what tubes are doing what in the circuit. Does the Gain Channel hit V1.?
But...after 20 minutes you say.? That is not typically a tube. It sounds more like a heat related issue. Maybe a cold-solder joint, or even failure of a resistor that is getting hot...or a component that is related to the cold-solder problem.
Does Carvin have its own Forum.?
You might want to run this by THOSE guys. This amp Might have issues like the Fender HRDlx or the Marshall TSL amps.
Anyway...try tubes first because they are easy.
Then either plan on yanking the chassis, or taking your amp to a tech.
