Tube Replacement

How long do they last if I play quiet for 2 hours daily. Anyone know about the el84 conversion tube things? any help please.

What kind of tube? How many watts, how many tubes?

My Crate VC5212 has 4 El84's. They last pretty long, but then again, I don;t play through the amp daily. If I was gigging regularly, they'ld probably be replaced fairly often, mostly due to deterioration of tone.

I got a deville 212 with 2 5881/6L6GC (at the moment only one power tube is glowing with blue juice, and if the gain and reverb were soft it would be the pre-amp tubes (12AX7s) right? I hear a lot of crackling (like when you turn your amp off and keep playing) except the amp IS still on. I know it's not any of the input jacks if that helps. BTW how long is often, you could help me by just saying how often you play (how loud) and how often you change tubes. thanks
