tube retainer clip rattling

what is the easy solution, remove it? Some kind of spacers? Blues Jr. by the way. Thanks!

Take it off...I removed mine and no problems with decent power tubes.

I'm not sure which kind they use. EL84's really do need retainers in most amps. For some reason, they seem to wiggle loose more than any other tube I've messed with.

There are some good aftermarket ones out there.

I was skeptical about these, but they work great.

Same thing happened to me when I had a BJ...really annoying. I wiggled the retainer and springs a bit and it quit.

The one in Scott_F's pic looks very artistic....almost like modern sculpture.

I'm having that problem in my Gibson Goldtone. A good solution is to buy a set of tube dampers on Ebay. They're basically silicon rubber bands that don't burn. I might either put them inside the retainer or outside....not sure yet.
