bear with me, i am a total tube idiot. so here goes.

what can i expect from from a tube configuration of 12AT7/6L6/5AR4 vs 12AX7/6V6/5AR4?

how does the following compare with each other in terms of response and tone?

12AT7 vs 12AX7

6L6 vs 6V6

5AR4 vs 5Y3

12at7's aren't really for gain stages, it's a phase inverter tube & if you use one instead of a 12ax7 it'll clean up your amp a little bit

6v6's are a lot more middy than 6l6's but are also less than half the wattage.

6v6's sound better if class A, if your amp is AB stick with the 6l6 (5881)
