Twangbanger is a GREAT pickups and

Re: Twangbanger is a GREAT pickups and

will it really make my strats bridge useful? just an overall tone machine great for solos? (doesnt really have to sound just like a tele, i just want a great lead pickup that still have a bit of the single coil twang)

Re: Twangbanger is a GREAT pickups and

How would the Twang Banger work as a neck pickup with a hot humbucker in the Bridge? I`m pretty sure they don`t make a Twang Banger neck pickup?

I have some but haven't tried it yet. Is it similar in tone to the Jerry Donahue Tele pickup at all? Lew

Re: Twangbanger is a GREAT pickups and

sorta, its probably more like the jd than any other tele pup. i use it in a hamer daytona (maple board alder strat) with aps2's in the other slots. it sounds killer into a cranked fender. ive used it live into a couple deluxes and supers as well as my twin and modded blues jr and everytime it shines. quiet passages have great detail, crank it up and it can scream. never harsh on the high end, nice spank on the low notes.

Re: Twangbanger is a GREAT pickups and

looking to buy one myself, lemme know if theyre are any used around, I had one in a Hamer Daytona ( great minds LOL ) but I sold the guitar and the buyer wanted the TB included

Actually, it's closer to the Jerry Donahue Strat pickup, if you remember the Hellecasters series Fender did in the mid-'90s.

Re: Twangbanger is a GREAT pickups and

How would the Twangbanger bridge pickup match up with SSL-1 vintage staggered pickups at the neck and middle positions? I like the SSL-1 in those positions, but it's a little thin in the bridge. BTW, this would be in an alder body/maple neck strat.

Re: Twangbanger is a GREAT pickups and

my guess would be it would sound great, the warmer tone of the alnico II magnets and the bump in output make it a killer strat bridge pup that will match well with any vintagey type pup
